Asbestos surveys are standard inspections undertaken to locate the presence and extent of any suspect asbestos in any building. Duty to manage asbestos and building regulations 2006.
The surveys aim to uncover any asbestos which may be damaged or distributed during normal occupancy, including foreseeable maintenance and installation. It ill also assess the asbestos condition and risk factor.
An asbestos survey can also involve sampling and analysis to confirm the presence or absence of the asbestos.
